About

Welcome. Thank you for visiting my blog. In case you’re not sure, I love books. I do lots of other things as well, but I do love books. 🙂

I spent my first twenty years in Bedford, England (just NE of London near Cambridge), and then was awarded a swimming scholarship to a large university in Texas. I have stayed here in the Lone Star State (a nickname for Texas) since then, but I still travel around. I enjoy going away, and then I enjoy coming home. 🙂

I still consider myself English, although there can be no denying that some Texanisms slide in every now and then. (You can’t live in Texas and not say “y’all” after a while.)

I still drink PG Tips, and love watching Americans taste Marmite for the first time.

I am impatiently waiting for Jaffa Cakes to be widely available in the USA.

I enjoy working out, reading as much as I can, travel, writing and photography. Oh, and puns. 🙂

If you need to contact me, please email:  lizipaulk@hotmail.com

Thanks!
